"Goodbye, Halloween Candy" Cookies

goop halloween candy cookies recipe

Families from all over come to trick or treat in our neighborhood and we never know how many visitors to expect.  This leads to buying way too much candy, just to be safe. Or maybe we secretly like having leftover candy. Regardless, I love this brilliant leftover candy solution from GOOP. I use equal parts Snickers + Nestle Crunch + Twix or Kit Kat.

"Goodbye, Halloween Candy" Cookies
3 c all purpose flour
1 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
1 stick butter (8T)
1 c packed brown sugar
1 c granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 t vanilla extract
2T milk, soy milk or almond milk
3 c chopped chocolate candy bars
Preheat oven to 375 (*),  Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars together by hand or with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing until incorporated and then follow with the vanilla, beating until combined. Add flour mixture and mix until incorporated.  Fold in chopped candy.
Drop by medium size cookie dough scoop or heaping tablespoon onto cookie sheets leaving about 2 inches in between each cookie.  Bake for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.  Let cool.
