Somewhere between a smoothie and a milkshake, Mango Lassi is a protein packed treat. I always want to order one when dining out at an Indian restaurant, but I am always too busy filling up on curry. So I make them at home for breakfast occasionally, My healthy recipe features fresh mango and low-fat milk offering a reduction in sugar and fat.
Mango Lassi
3/4 cup plain, organic, low fat Greek yogurt (Wallaby, carried at Whole Foods, is a favorite)
1/3 cup organic, low fat milk (Organic Valley grass fed, also carried at Whole Foods, is preferred)
1/2 cup fresh, cubed mango
1/8 t ground cardamom
Puree all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Serves 1.
